You Are Wonderfully Made | Anchored in Hope Devotions

Genesis 1:27–28 — “27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Have you ever looked at the sky and thought, “Wow, that is beautiful”?

Or maybe you watched the grass flowing in the wind, or a mountain standing tall, or the leaves changing in the fall, and saw the beauty of it?

But then, you look at yourself and see all the flaws, mistakes, and imperfections, and compare yourself to others.

Do you know how crazy that is? God made you! And He said that you are “very good.”

Even after we sinned, He sent the perfect Adam, His Son, Jesus, to die for us, because we were created in His image.

Yet we have the audacity to think He messed up, to compare ourselves to others?

If the God who made creation, full of beauty, created the grass, the birds, the sunsets, the flowers, all of which have differences, are unique, and have their own “imperfections,” and He still called that good… then think about this:

God used that very same creativity, that same goodness, that same beauty, and made YOU.

You are made in His image, God’s image.

So you are beautiful.
You are wonderfully made!
