He That is Faithful in Little…

There is no job that is small, or of little significance, in the sight of God.

You might have felt this in your own life; I’ve felt it lately myself. It seems like my task is insignificant and does nothing to further God’s kingdom, which is the kind of task I want to be a part of.

However, someone told me that there are no “just” jobs in God’s eyes, and that changed the way I look at things.

If God gives you something to sweep, sweep it for His glory. If God gives you something to fold, fold it for His glory. If God gives you someone to help, help them and love them for His glory.

1 Corinthians 10:31 says, “…whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

Galatians 6:9 says, “Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

And Jesus tells us in Matthew 25:21, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.”

Don’t grow weary of what God wants you to do right now. Don’t give up when you’re tired. Don’t give up when you’re almost done.

You will enter into the joy of your God when the task is finished, the fields have been harvested, and when every knee bows and every tongue confesses that Jesus Christ is Lord.

If you are faithful in little, you will be set over much.

Be faithful.

And you will hear the words, “Well done, My good and faithful servant.”

Don’t grow weary. He will give you rest. — Matt. 11:28
