The ministry of motherhood demands daily sacrifice. From the long, exhausting nights of early motherhood to figuring out what meals to fix every single day to the never-ending laundry and cleaning.
And that's the "easy" part.
Watching our children learn to navigate the ups and downs of life takes an emotional toll on our mother heart. We desperately want to fix everything for our children knowing we cannot. Little by little, while doing our best to teach and train, we know the day is coming when we must let them fly.
However, the ministry of motherhood is still ongoing; it just looks a little different. We can still be prayer warriors for our children. For as much as we so dearly love our children, God loves them infinitely more!
We can trust Him to watch over them, guide them, and pursue them when they stray. We have the opportunity to continually point our children to the Lord and His amazing, abundant grace.
What greater ministry could we ask for?
III John 4 says: "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth."
