The Faithfulness of God

Genesis ends with the story of Joseph, the beloved son of Jacob.

Throughout his story, you see the faithfulness of God as He orchestrates everything for Joseph’s good. At the beginning all the pain, rejection, and false accusations don’t make sense.

We wonder why God would do this to someone who loves Him.

And we ask ourselves the same question… why did this happen to me?

But the story doesn’t end there.

The story ends with Joseph being raised to second-in-command of Egypt and his fellowship with his family being reconciled!

God let all those terrible things happen to Joseph and turned them all for good.

So God does for us.

We don’t always understand, but we need to trust that God knows the plans He has for us, and they are good! We must have the faith to follow our faithful God.

Genesis 50:19-20, “But Joseph said to them, ‘Do not fear, for am I in the place of God? As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many should be kept alive, as they are today.’”
