It is so easy in hard times to forget what God has promised. 

When we are overwhelmed with everything that is going on around us, it is time to remember the works of God.

Psalm 77:11 “I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your wonders of old.”

In Isaiah 60, the Bible tells us about when God promised to restore Israel. 

It tells us that the sun and moon will no longer be what brightens the sky; it will be the glory of God. 

The LORD will be their everlasting light and the days of mourning will be ended. 

God has promised that He will make His remnant “majestic forever, a joy from age to age.” (Isaiah 60:15)

There is sadness, but God has promised joy. 

There is darkness, but God has promised light. 

He will be our joy forever. 

And He will be our light forever. 

Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” 

Isaiah 60:22b “I am the LORD; in its time I will hasten it.”
