God Sees You
Do you feel alone?
Do you feel forsaken or forgotten?
Do you feel the pain and numbness of grief?
Do you also know that our Lord has felt these things as well?
One of the names of God is Adonai El Roi.
Adonai El Roi means “the LORD, the God Who Sees Me.”
Genesis 16:13 ESV
“So she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, 'You are a God of seeing,' for she said, 'Truly here I have seen him who looks after me.'”
Adonai El Roi looks after you.
He sees you. (Matthew 6:25-34)
He knows you. (Psalm 139:13-16)
He loves you. (Psalm 42:8)
You are not alone—
And when you feel lonely, remember the One who will never leave you or forsake you.
(Hebrews 13:5-6)
You are not forsaken—
Maybe your friends or family make you feel like you are, but your Good Shepherd has promised that He will not cast out those who seek Him.
(Psalm 9:10)
God does not abandon you in your grief either. He stays with you, cries with you, and holds you. He knows what it is to sorrow.
He has promised to carry our sorrow for us.
(Isaiah 53:4a)
Adonai El Roi sees you.
